⏺ Canada is introducing a temporary two-year cap on international student admissions. In 2024, Canada will reduce the number of international student permits by 35%, cutting the number of approved study permits to 364,000.
⏺ As of September 1st, 2024, students attending public-private partnership institutions will no longer be eligible for postgraduate work permits.
⏺ Work permits will only be available to spouses of international students enrolled in masters and doctoral programs, as well as professional programs such as medicine and law.
